6 Pack the Strong

When I was a kid, I use to dream big. I mean really big. I daydreamed in class and thought about what it would be like to have super powers like the characters I’d read about in comic books. For me, my super power was always super strength.

I’d think about growing up to be like those guys I read about in comic books. About having super strength and using my powers to help those that needed it.

When you get older, you are expected to leave those type of dreams behind. They are views as unrealstic. I did just that for a long time. I let the dream go, and acted like a grown up was suppose to. I settled for a normal life. Until some one close to me got sick.

It helps remind you how short life is. Its too short to waste. A trip to the SickKids hospital later and I had a renewed drive. It was like once again I was that kid who could not be convinced something was unrealistic. Just like a kid, I believed again.

Suddenly settling was no longer an option. Fear of failure was out the window. Only drive to prove a point.

I quickly found out not many people believed I could back up my mouth. I told the papers I was going to win National titles and perform super feats of strength for the public. Not many believed.

I entered in weightlifting competitions and quickly added National titles and a World record to my resume. I went back to school for Marketing determined to not settle in life. I visited public schools, cancer camps for kids, and kids hospitals and I told these kids nothing is impossible. No dream is out of reach.

To prove my point I towed a twenty six thousand pound school bus a hundred feet. Companies donated money for the bus pull and we raised enough to buy a kid chemo treatments.

It was National news, a kid who chased his dream to use his strength to help others and did.

Now I am looking to set Guinness World records and move on to towing Air Planes for sick children. I believe I can make history with my feats of strength. I believe I can do the impossible by towing a plane. I believe I can give these kids a message they will never forget.

Do you believe?
